About me

I am an assistant professor in the Department of Statistics at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellín. I obtained my PhD in statistics in 2019 from the Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil, under the supervision of Carlos Alberto de Bragança Pereira. In my research, I mainly focus on solving challenging practical problems that involve uncertainty and are therefore suitable for the development of new methodological (or the application of already existing) statistical tools. Among the areas of my interest are Dynamic Linear Models, Hierarchical models, Quantile Regression, and Generalized Linear Models, all of which are always approached from a Bayesian perspective.
